This bowl was reported to have been recovered from private land in Clark County, IN, prior to 1988, and is believed to be from the Mississippian, also referred to as Mound Builder culture. Mississippian Moundbuilders ranged from North America's Ohio River area, southward to the Mississippi delta and eastward to North Carolina, Georgia and northern Florida. Note:
There is evidence of some restoration in the area of the cat head.
