The piece he was working on was to become a corn maiden we had commissioned from him. Its preliminary work had been 90% finished when a door to the studio opened, changing the air pressure and shattering the glass. Nothing was salvaged from that. He had to re-start from scratch. Ah, the expensive joys of glass blowing.
