Native American Pahponee bowl, wheel-thrown, shoulder-style bowl with grey slip and etched horses around the shoulder. The artist has named it, "Le Cirque", and attributes its design to spirits of her Kickapoo/Kansas heritage.

Pahponee, a Kansas-Kickapoo woman was named 1999, 
Artist of the Year
by the Indian Arts & Crafts Association (IACA). Her work is distinguished by its beauty and the fact that, unlike Pueblo potters, who coil-build their pots, Pashponee forms her pots on a wheel.
