Taos Pueblo platter, hand-made pottery in micaceous clay by Pam Lujan-Hauer of Taos Pueblo with a desert scene with two yucca plants inlaid in silver.

We acquired this attractive and unusual vintage object of pottery art directly from Pam Lujan-Hauer in 1998.

Pam is a member of Taos Pueblo who lives away from the Pueblo. She has won several awards for the innovative style of her pottery.

Ira Lujan is part Taos Pueblo and part Pueblo of Pojoaque. He has been blowing glass as an art for decades. He is a regular participant in the Santa Fe art markets. He has a studio in Santa Fe where spectators can watch the process of glassblowing, We once watched him blowing a piece we requested, only to see it explode before completion when the air pressure changed in the studio.
